What is Fire stopping? – The sealing of openings and joints to prevent the transition of fire, smoke and heat through the building’s sections, voids, partitions, gaps, walls and flooring.

By law, buildings must be safeguarded to slow and stop the spread of life and property threatening fire, smoke and heat in a building between floors and walls horizontally and vertically.
